State Electric Company (STELCO) is reportedly in the plan to develop a new powerhouse outlet in Greater Male’ Region with a maximum output capacity of 100 MegaWatts. Health Protection Agency (HPA) of Maldives is set to conduct a series of inspections on local cafeterias and general shop outlets, to assess adherence to tobacco regulations. The authority will conduct the special awareness inspection in collaboration with all relevant state bodies and authorities. HPA along with its partners will inspect all outlets of interest established in Male’ City, Hulhumale’ and Vilimale’. The initially planned pre-school building at Hulhumale’ Phase II will now be opened as a primary school premises. The contracting corporation reveals that the shore protection project in Baa atoll Dharavandhoo has observed 56% progress, and the breakwater profiling works of Kaafu Bandos commenced on the South-East side of the island.
