In a statement on X, American Airlines said: “We mourn the passing of Bette Nash, who spent nearly seven decades warmly caring for our customers in the air.” “She started in 1957 and held the Guinness World Record for longest-serving flight attendant. State Trading Organization (STO) on Sunday, May 26, 2024, has announced yet another reduction on the conventional fuel prices. This time around, the largest state-owned enterprise (SOE) has sliced fuel prices owing to desirable price cuts on the commodity in the global market. In light of the global fuel price slip, STO said it will be reducing MVR 0.70 per diesel liter and MVR 0.35 per petrol liter. The Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed announced that the government has begun discussions to relocate the current seaplane terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA) to the nearby Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort.
