Established by Island Aviation Services Limited and Maldives National University, the Maldivian Aviation Academy officially opened on Tuesday, 28th December 2021.
Maldives Vice President Mr. Faisal Naseem attended Tuesday’s opening ceremony of the academy along with Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Ms. Aishath Nahula as well as other senior officials of both Island Aviation and MNU.
Island Aviation’s Managing Director Mr. Mohamed Mihad attested that the academy will run at Addu City and also affirmed the enrollment for new batches were already open.
Reports claim that the aviation academy will be managed and operated by a renowned Czech Republican firm.
Mr. Mihad also emphasized on providing academic continuity for students who experienced disruptions to their courses at the previous aviation academy in Addu City; Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA).
