Olympic medalist and world-renowned boxing coach Tony Jeffries has officially broken a Guinness World Record with an astonishing 147,218 full-extension punches thrown over a grueling 24-hour period. The record-setting feat was streamed live by Space Live Productions, turning the challenge into a global spectacle of endurance, precision, and production innovation.
Held at GymNation, one of the UAE’s largest fitness hubs, the event wasn’t just a display of physical prowess but also a masterclass in live event broadcasting. The venue’s dynamic environment added an extra layer of energy, as gymgoers witnessed the historic attempt unfold in real time.
A Fusion of Sport and Broadcast Innovation
The entire 24-hour challenge was live-streamed in high-definition via YouTube, supported by a multi-camera setup, real-time punch tracking, professional-grade audio/video, and dynamic advertising overlays. Viewers were given an immersive experience, with over three camera angles capturing every jab, cross, and uppercut in detail.
“Breaking the record was one thing — but having it streamed so the whole world could witness it made it even more special,” said Tony Jeffries. “Huge thanks to the team at Space Live Productions for the unbelievable job they did capturing every moment of this challenge.”
A dedicated team of over 20 crew members — including directors, camera operators, production assistants, and official punch counters — worked around the clock in shifts to ensure uninterrupted coverage. Meanwhile, Jeffries’ support crew managed equipment changes and physical recovery strategies with near-military precision.
A Milestone for Space Live Productions
The broadcast was led by Nour Abdelaal, Managing Director and Live Event Director at Space Live Productions, who oversaw both technical execution and creative direction.
“This collaboration set a new standard for live sports broadcasting,” said Anna Morgenstern, CEO of The Space and founder of Space Live Productions. “As someone passionate about building groundbreaking partnerships, this world record with Tony Jeffries was exactly that. It was a proud moment for our team to power such an inspiring global event.”
More Than a Record — A New Standard in Live Sport
What began as a personal challenge for Jeffries evolved into a landmark production, showcasing what’s possible when elite athleticism meets cutting-edge media technology.
With its seamless blend of sport, storytelling, and audience engagement, the event has set a new benchmark for live-streamed athletic events—proving that records aren’t just made to be broken, but to be experienced.
